Description
THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION. The Social Security Administration (SSA) is conducting market research to determine if there are capable organizations interested in providing office clerical support services to the Office of Hearings and Appeals (OHA) hearing offices located throughout the United States (including Puerto Rico) on a National or Regional basis. The contractor would perform case file folder assembly in approximately 138 hearing offices located nationwide and spread out over a large geographical area including remote locations. The individual locations are too numerous to list in this announcement; however, the regional locations are: Boston, New York, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Kansas City, Denver, San Francisco and Seattle. All work would be performed off-site. Contractor duties would include: Hand-Pickup up the case folders at EACH hearing office location at least twice a week. Assembling the case folders by selecting the proposed exhibits, placing them in chronological order, returning the documents to the proper section, identifying and placing duplicate documents in the proper place, marking exhibits, preparing an exhibit list and photocopying. Completed case file folders must be hand-delivered to each site within 5 days of pickup. The ability to read and understand legal and medical documents is required, in order to properly assemble each file. The ability to obtain security clearances for all individuals who handle the folders is required. SSA is requesting corporate capability statements. The capability statements shall not exceed 3 pages. Capability statements should show: Corporate experience, capacity and capability in managing large clerical support functions on a NATIONWIDE or REGIONAL basis for locations that are spread out over a large geographical area. Corporate experience and capability in managing filing systems which require pulling and reviewing documents for specific purposes such as hospitals, medical offices, law offices and insurance companies. In order to provide evidence of the experience, list similar contracts providing details such as: client name, contract number, service area, number of locations supported, volume of workload, dollar value, period of performance, points of contact, etc. Capability statements must be submitted within 7 days of this notice. Respondents will not be notified of the results of any evaluation made from the information submitted. No award will be made based on this synopsis. The information received will be used in SSA's assessment of capable sources. Requests for copies of a solicitation and/or telephone calls will not be honored or acknowledged. The Government will not pay for information received. No cost or pricing data is required or requested. Capability statements should be emailed to the attention of Maria Hill, Contract Specialist at Maria.Hill@ssa.gov.
