- Description
- The Naval Sea Systems Command intends to issue a Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) to Northrup Grumman Systems Corporation; Sperry Marine, 1070 Seminole Trail, Charlottesville, VA 22901-2891. The purpose of this BOA is to perform the following functions: a. Receive, open, inspect, repair and/or replace, supply repair parts and components of Government - owned, Sperry Marine - Manufactured, Inertial Navigation Systems (i.e., Ring Laser Gyro Navigation System) (AN/WSN-7/7A(V)) and the Ring Laser Gyrocompass (AN/WSN-7B(V)); b. Perform Preplanned Product Improvement (P3I) services for Inertial Navigation Systems; c. Provide field engineering services for Inertial Navigation Systems. Orders will be issued pursuant to 10 U. S. C. 2304 (c) (1). Sperry Marine, is the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) of the above Inertial Navigation Systems and as such is the only company qualified t o perform the above functions. No other source has the technical qualifications and the necessary resources to perform the work described herein, nor will any other supplies or services satisfy the Navy?s requirements.
