- This is a Total Small Business Set-Aside requirement for overhaul/modify of an A-10 valve. The contractor shall provide all labor, facilities, equipment and all material to accomplish overhaul, test, packing, preservation and packaging of the below listed A-10 valve. A firm fixed price type contract is contemplated. The items and quantities are as follows: Item 0001: Overhaul/Modify NSN 4810-00-614-1284TP; P/N: AV1140; TO: 4810-01-252-4590TP; P/N: AV1140-1, Noun: valve; Applicable to A-10; Quantity 26 each. Item 0003: Over and Above Work; Item 0004: Data IAW DD1423s. Delivery is to be in accomplished, 13 each per month 30 days after receipt of the order and reparables. Ship to instructions will be received from the Production Management Specialist prior to shipment. Qualification requirements apply. Award will be based on meeting our requirements and cannot be delayed pending qualifications of additional sources. The approximate solicitation issue date will be 21 Mar 2003. NOTE: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
