Description

The National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Cancer Institute (NCI), plans to procure repair services for twenty-four walk-in cold box refrigeration systems located at NIH, Building 37, Bethesda, Maryland. The services will be procured in accordance with the simplified acquisition procedures authorized in FAR Part 13. The North American Industry Classification System Code is 811310 and the business size standard is $6.0 million. Background: The NCI uses the constant temperature rooms in Building 37 for research activities. These rooms provide storage at -20 to +37 degrees Celsius. Requirements: The Contractor shall provide all labor, material and equipment necessary to provide rapid response (emergency) repair and major repair services for twenty-four (24) Walk-in Cold Box Refrigeration Systems in Building 37, National Cancer Institute (NCI), NIH for the period 03 MAY 01 thru 04 APR 30 with two one-year option periods. All rooms are currently maintained by NIH and NCI personnel. Contractor shall be responsible for emergency service and replacement parts which cannot otherwise be met by NIH personnel. Solicitation: The RFQ must be requested by electronic mail or facsimile only. Telephone requests will not be accepted. Requests for the RFQ shall be made to the attention of Malinda Holdcraft, Purchasing Agent via electronic mail at holdcram@exchange.nih.gov or fax at 301-402-4513. Deadline date for the request of the RFQ is March 28, 2003. Requests shall include name of the contractor, DUNS number, telephone number, point of contact, business size standard, and identify the RFQ requested as RFQ-NCI-30034-NG. The estimated issue date of the solicitation package is April 1, 2003 and the estimated due date is April 11, 2003.
