- Description
- This is the second of three SOURCES SOUGHT announcements for an OMB Circular A-76 Study of Geological Analysis Services currently being performed by the U S Department of Agriculture, Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS)> The first sources sought announcement for this requirement was published in Federal Business Opportunities on January 25, 2003, under solicitation number NHQ_03-005. This synopsis is not a request for proposals and in no way obligates the Government to award any contract. NRCS is seeking sources capable of providing Geological Analysis Services throughout the fifty states, and the Caribbean and Pacific Basins. Currently, the Government in house workforce performs these services. NRCS intends to perform a full cost comparison study pursuant to OMB Circular Number A-76 in order to determine the most cost effective service provider. Accordingly, a contract may or may not be awarded as a result of the study cost comparison. If a contractor is selected as the service provider, an award will be made in accordance with the Circular and all other applicable federal acquisition regulations. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 541330. If you are interested in competing for this requirement, and did not respond to the first sources sought announcement, please indicate your interest by sending an email to steve.latimer@ca.usda.gov NO LATER THAN 1159 PM, Pacific Standard Time, April 05, 2003. All email responses from prospective offerors must provide the return email address, mailing address, telephone number, and facsimile (fax) number in the body of the response. If you responded to the first sources sought announcement, it is not necessary to respond again. Telephone responses will not be accepted. In order to obtain the maximum comprtitio, this sources sought announcement is now a full and open acquisition. Your resonse shall specify the following (1)large or small business (2) if small, does your business qualify as an 8(a)firm (3) if small, does your firm qualify as a small emergent business, a small disadvantaged business, a veteran owned business or a service disabled veteran owned business (4) is your business a woman owned firm. NO SOLICITATION EXISTS AT THIS TIME. If you are interested, it is mandatory that you respond that you respond to this synopsis NHQ-03-005. It ialso the responsibility of the respondent to ensure the accuracy of your email address.
