- Description
- Provide all labor, material, equipment, transportation, and supervision required to rehab the Vehicle Maintenance Shop, existing Bldg. 93, at USCG Support Center Elizabeth City, NC. Work includes, but is not limited to the following: Remove the existing entry door to the Heavy Equipment Repair Bay. Install a new concrete ramp up to the existing floor slab. Install a new door at the appropriate elevation to comply with Code. Remove three additional exterior entry doors and frames. Provide new doors and frames with new concrete pads. Remove the existing plumbing fixtures, walls concrete floor, and ceiling in the restroom. Treat existing painted wallboard and ceiling as lead containing and dispose of materials as construction debris. Provide two new UFAS/ADA compliant restrooms in the area of the existing restroom. Provide metal stud and drywall partitions to create a new electrical room in the Heavy Equipment Repair Bay. Provide a drywall ceiling over the electrical room. The new electrical room shall be a 1-hour fire rated enclosure. Remove two existing windows. Provide new panels to match the appearance of the existing siding and to fill in the openings. The existing siding, which is cement asbestos type, shall not be disturbed in any manner that will make it friable. Remove portion of concrete floor slab to accommodate new column foundations for the new Pre-fabricated Steel Storage Mezzanine. Provide new reinforced concrete column foundations. Replace concrete floor in areas that were removed for under slab access. Remove the existing storage mezzanine. Provide a new pre-fabricated steel storage mezzanine to fit the designated area with a ships ladder for access. Design for 150 PSF Total Load. Provide a lightweight concrete floor for new storage mezzanine. Modify existing wet pipe fire suppression system to cover new floor plan. Provide four new automotive exhaust systems to remove motor vehicle exhaust fumes from the various vehicles being repaired. Provide new electrical service for the building. Project will be phased. The NAICS is 236220 (SIC Code 1542) size standard $28.5M. This procurement is a HUBZone small business set-aside. The estimated range is $250,000 - $500,000. Period of Performance is 125 calendar days from NTP. The Bid Opening Date will be annotated on the Solicitation (SF-1442) when issued. A Bid Bond is required.
