- NA The Kentucky Army National Guard is conducting a market survey to determine if an adequate number of HubZone Certified Small Businesses or 8A Firms are interested in the performance of this project. The project scope includes paving of the existing milita ry vehicle parking area and access road, utilizing either reinforced concrete or Resin Modified Pavement (RMP) (approximately 83,500 square yards), installation of two above-ground 10,000 gallon fuel tanks complete with an overhead metal canopy and environ mental compliant structures, improvements to storm water run-off systems, new exterior compound lighting and miscellaneous work. Construction activities will include horizontal construction, some vertical construction , grading, leveling, storm drainage, compaction, concrete or RMP paving of existing parking areas. Existing compound consists of a gravel pavement in place since 1997. The MATES facility is currently occupied and will remain operational during construction. This project is planned for advertisement in April, early May 2003 with award scheduled for June 2003. Projected contract duration is 9(nine) months from receipt of notice-to-proceed. The estimated price range is $1,000,000.00 to $5,000,000.00. All interested HubZone certified small businesses or certified 8A Firms should notify this office in writing at USPFO for Kentucky, Boone National Guard Center, 120 Minuteman Pkwy, Bldg 120, Frankfort, KY 40601-6192 or via e-mail to Diane.Hutchinson@k y.ngb.army.mil or by facsimile to 502-607-1424 by 2 p.m. eastern time. Please include in your response (1) Identification of your company as a certified HubZone Small Business or 8A certified firm, (2) Relevant past experience ? describe completed construction projects that are similar in size and scope to the proposed projec t, (3) Capablility of obtaining performance and payment bonds for a project of this dollar range. Provide a statement verifying the contractor will self-perform at least 15% of the work and how that 15% will be accomplished. Note: If qualified HubZone Small Businesses or qualified 8A Firms do not respond, this planned contract action may be converted to a full and open competition. Note: This is a market survey only.
