- Description
- The United States Department of Agriculture, Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) is planning a Direct Conversion with Cost Comparison Study of Soil Conservation Technician Services in Albion, Indiana. These services are currently provided by Government personnel. This acquisition is being conducted pursuant to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Circular A-76. This synopsis is not a request for proposal and in no way obligates the Government to award any contract. NRCS intends to perform a cost comparison study in order to determine the most cost effective service provider. Accordingly, a contract may or may not be awarded as a result of the study/cost comparison. If a contractor is selected as the service provider, an award will be made in accordance with OMB Circular A-76 and all other applicable NRCS and federal government acquisition regulations. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 541990. We anticipate a solicitation to be issued on or about April 21, 2003. The Federal Acquisition Regulation Subpart 7.303 requires identification of a reasonable number of potential sources. For that purpose, register your interest in this solicitation by providing your firm's name, address, phone number, and business size status to the point of contact listed for this solicitation by April 4, 2003.
