- Description
- The Corporation for National and Community Service, a wholly owned Government corporation seeks to buy a non-qualified tax-deferred annuity for a former employee in settlement of a Title VII employment-related claim. The claim is unrelated to personal injury. The former employee is a 62 year old (DOB 8/23/1940) female and her state of issue would be New Jersey. The Corporation is soliciting brokers who will provide no fewer than three price quotes of annuity products with guaranteed income for 5-year and 10-year periods, paid monthly, and funded with a single deposit of $100,000. Annuity payments to the former employee commence not later than one month from the Corporation?s purchase. Any proposed insurer should be rated at least A.M. Best A+ or higher, S&P AA+ or higher, or Moodys Aa2 or higher. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; bids are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is HQMBS0304 and is issued as a request for a quotation (RFQ). Award will be made to the bidder providing the best value to the Government considering rating, and price. The NAICS code for this requirement is 524210. This solicitation document and the incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 12. The provisions at 52.212.1, Instructions to Offerors?Commerical, applies to this acquisition. Offeror must include a completed copy of the provision at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications?Commercial Items with its bid. The clause 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions?Commercial Items applies to this acquisition. The clause 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required To Implement Statues or Executive Orders?Commercial Items applies to this acquisition. The following clauses listed in 52.212-5 (b) and (c) are included by reference: 52.222-21; 52.222-22; 52.222-23; 52.222-41; 52.225-3; and 52.232-34. All bids must be submitted in writing (facsimile acceptable), signed by a person authorized to represent the bidder with the Government and sent to the contracting office address in this announcement. Bids must be submitted by 2:00 pm EST, Monday, March 24, 2003.
