- The U. S. Department of the Interior, Minerals Management Service, intends to make a firm-fixed price, sole source award to Precision Filters, Ithaca, New York. GovWorks/DOI intends to issue a Purchase Order in accordance with FAR Part 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. This non-competitive action is being issued by GovWorks under the authority of the U. S. Department of Interior Franchise Fund on behalf of the Redstone Technical Test Center (RTTC), Redstone Arsenal, Alabama. The RTTC has a requirement for the acquisition of a 48-Channel Signal Conditional System consisting of two 28000C mainframes, with two 120V power supply; two back plane interface; two rack mounts; one 16-channel blank panel; one 8-channel blank panel; five 1-channel blank panel; three 16-channel IEPE conditioner; twelve quad channel buffered output cards; one graphical user interface; one 28316 test software; one 27708A test software; one 27304 test software; and miscellaneous cabling. Precision 27000C series signal conditioning amplifiers are currently in use by the organization. In order to maintain compatibility and functionality, this procurement must be for conditioners of the same type. This is NOT a request for competitive quotes. The intent of this Special Notice is for informational purposes only. However, all information received by 4:30 p.m. EST March 27, 2003, will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this action based on this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
