- Description
- The Office of English Language Acquisition (OELA), U. S. Department of Education, has a requirement to establish a national clearinghouse for bilingual education. The purpose of the Clearinghouse is to serve as OELA's principal agent for collection, organization and dissemination of information. Specifically the Clearinghouse shall collect, analyze, and disseminate information for the use of educational institutions serving the K-12 language minority and limited English-proficient student population, including public schools, public school districts, state educational agencies, and private schools in the United States. The audience for the Clearinghouse are teachers, school administrators, researchers, policymakers, and the general public. Upon release, the entire solicitation will be available for download. Requests for a hard copy of the RFP may be made by telephone, mail, telegram or Internet, or in person. All requests shall reference the RFP number, ED-03-R-0006. Mail or telegram requests shall be sent to the following address: U.S. Department of Education/CPO, ATTN: Desandre Woodard, 7th & D Streets, SW, ROB-3, Room 3069, Washington, DC 20202-4443. E-mail requests may be forwarded to melody.anderson@ed.gov. Copies of the RFP may be picked up in person on the issuing date at the above address. The issue date is March 26, 2003 and the closing date is May 12, 2003, 2:00 PM EST. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which will be considered. The dates listed herein are subject to change.
