- Description
- The U.S. Department of Commerce (DOC), Office of Inspector General (OIG) has a requirement to obtain a qualified independent, certified public accounting firm to conduct an annual audit of the U.S. Department of Commerce Financial Statements. The Contractor will conduct a full scope audit of Fiscal Year (FY) 2003 financial statements of all reporting entities within DOC and assist the OIG in meeting its responsibilities under the Chief Financial Officers (CFO) Act of 1990, as amended and the Government Management Reform Act (GMRA) of 1994. If option periods are exercised, the Contractor may be required to audit FY 2004, FY 2005, FY 2006, and FY 2007 financial statements of all reporting entities with DOC. The Office of Inspector General plans on soliciting as a full an open competition under Part 12 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation as a Commercial Item. Tentatively, this requirement will be awarded as a single, firm fixed-price contract with a period of performance of a one (1) year base period, and four (4) one-year option periods with an estimated total of 118,000 hours. The NAICS code for this effort will be 541211. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be released on or about March 5, 2003. A Pre-Proposal Conference will be held on or about March 11, 2003, and Proposals will be due on or about March 20, 2003. The solicitation and its amendments will be available via the Internet at www.eps.gov under the Department of Commerce, Office of the Secretary.
