- This proposed contract is 100% set-aside for small business concerns, under NAICS Code 541512, with a size standard of $21.0 million. The objective of this procurement is to assist NIAAA in the conduct of its program of epidemiologic research and research dissemination by maintaining and extending the data base of the Alcohol Epidemiologic Data System (AEDS), conducting in-depth analyses of alcohol-related epidemiologic data, reporting on these analyses in a variety of formats, and providing technical assistance and reference services to NIAAA, researchers, and the public. Data sets of greatest interest are those containing information generalizable to the country as a whole or disaggregated by county and/or State. A major function of AEDS is the secondary analysis of major data sets containing alcohol variables and demographic descriptors that can be analyzed against a wide variety of health, behavioral, and socioeconomic measures. Analyses are conducted in close technical consultation with Government personnel. The successful offeror must have proven ability to conduct alcohol epidemiologic research. NIAAA anticipates awarding a five (5) year, cost-plus-award-fee performance based contract as a result of this solicitation. The incumbent contract was awarded to CSR, Incorporated, Arlington, Virginia, in the total amount of $4,159,335 for a five year period of performance. All responsible small business concerns may submit an offer which will be considered by this agency.
