- Description
- The scope of this work is in support of the Integration of Remote Sensing, Training and Technology Awareness, and other programs within RSCA. It includes the following: 1. Performin projects designed to support management of forest, range, watersheds, minerals, and other natural resources, and to develop and demonstrate the efficient use, application, and intergration of remote sensing with other geospatial technologies; 2. Technology transfer to various Forest Service units-this includes on-site support, workshops, training and awareness, and publications.; 3. Preparing national guidelines for the effective use and intergration of remote sensing, GIS and ground sampled information used in resource decision making.; and 4. Operational support to a variety of ongoing Forest Service programs in the use of geospatial technologies, and delivery of geospatial data via web. This contract is for on-site technical support in projects and technology transfer conducted by RSAC throughout the Forest Service, guided by the national Remote Sensing Steering Committee, and other sponsors. The contractor shall furnish all labor, supervision, and supplies necessary to conduct on-site remote sensing projects at the USDA Forest Service Remote Sensing Applications Center in Salt Lake City, UT. Work will be administered via Task Orders.
