- POC: Tangee Brookie, U. S. Geological Survey, Box 25046, MS-204A, Denver, CO 80225, Telephone: (303)236-9322, Fax: (303)236-5859, email: tbrookie@usgs.gov. The U. S. Geological Survey, Geologic Division, has a requirement for GIS services to be performed at the GIS Laboratory in Bldg. 25 of the Denver Federal Center, Denver, Colorado. This work will involve scanning and digitizing geologic, structural, and oil and gas field maps, cross sections, and drafted line work in the GIS format in support of the USGS World Energy Project. Contractor personnel will also provide technical assistance to GIS computer centers at VZG and GlavNivc in Moscow, Russia and may require travel to Russia. Contractor personnel must be familiar with the UNIX operating system and be able to use ARC/INFO and its various modules, especially ARC, ARCEDIT, and ARCPLOT on a UNIX-based workstation or X-terminal. Contractor personnel must have knowledge of correct digitizing procedures for maps and cross sections and ability to analyze the initial product for data quality. Contractor personnel must have basic geologic concept knowledge and working knowledge of the Russian language. Performance period is for 12 months (one, full-time contractor employee is needed). Interested parties shall complete the Request for Quotation (RFQ) No. 03CRQQ0094 at the following website: http://ideasec.nbc.gov. Quotes are due March 30, 2003. It is anticipated the RFQ will be available on or after March 21, 2003. This requirement is 100% set-aside for small business.
