NSN: 2840-01-192-5374PR P/N: 9502M19P02 This is a small business set-aside (100%). Noun: METALLIC AIRCRAFT SEAL Item Description: The Metallic Aircraft Seal bolts to the LPTR shaft. Its function is to seal the bearing #5 area. Dimensions are as follows: 10.960 inches W 0.100 inches in diameter, 16 holes EQ SP, 0.266 inches. The material is steel AMS 6322. Applicable to: F110 Engine Destination: FB2039 Delivery: February 2004 Best Estimated Qty: At this time the BEQ is 113; quantities can change prior to award, therefore, contractors should propose on all ranges listed. Quantity Ranges will be solicited: 75-125, 126-176, 177-202 Qualification Requirements: Sources must be qualified prior to being considered for award. The solicitation will contain instructions for obtaining further information on this requirement. The qualification requirements for this item were established prior to 19 Oct 1984 and the requirements of FAR 9.202(A) do not apply. Qualification requirements apply to line item(s) 0001. The approximate issue date of the solicitation will be 24 March 2003. The approximate response date of the solicitation will be 23 April 2003. The anticipated award date will be 30 May 2003. It is suggested that small business firms or others interested in subcontracting opportunities in connection with the described procurement make contact with the firm(s) listed. Note: While price will be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final contract award decision may be based upon a combination of price and past performance factors as detailed in the solicitation. Note: Based upon market research, the Government is not using the policies contained in Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in its solicitation for the described supplies or services. However, interested persons may identify to the contracting officer their interest and capability to satisfy the Government?s requirement with a commercial item within 15 days of this notice. Note: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential Offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
