Description
Provide all labor, material, equipment, transportation and supervision required to demolish Storage Building 33 at U. S. Coast Guard Group Cape Hatteras, Dare County, Buxton, NC. Work shall entail the following items. This summary is not all-inclusive and delineates only those work items deemed as major to the contract. Ancillary work items not listed below, though necessary to attain the completed project, shall be included in the contract. Work shall entail the following items: Project mobilization and demobilization. Perform a TCLP (Toxicity Characteristic Leaching Procedure) test to characterize the building debris as non-hazardous or hazardous. Collect a representative sample from building debris after demolition for analysis. Perform Asbestos Inspections of the interior and exterior surfaces suspected of containing asbestos. A certified Asbestos Inspector must do this inspection. Analyze bulk samples for possible asbestos content. (Approximately 5 samples) The certified Asbestos Inspector must take bulk samples of any suspect ACM (Asbestos Containing Materials) and submit it to a lab for asbestos content analysis. Disconnect, cap-off, and reroute where needed any remaining existing utilities (e.g. electric and water) and terminate in a manner conforming to the nationally recognized code covering the specific utility. Demolish and remove existing walkway adjacent to the Storage Building and Wooden Lean-to. Excavate, backfill and seed work areas. Based on asbestos sampling results, remove all ACM as necessary in accordance with State and Federal regulations. All ACM shall be immediately transported and disposed of at a landfill approved for non-friable asbestos disposal. Provide transportation and disposal for the non-hazardous building debris (TCLP lead passes). Contractor will be responsible for any associated testing required by the disposal facility. This procurement is estimated between $25K and $100K. This procurement is open to large and small businesses in accordance with the Small Business Competitive Demonstration Program.
