- This synopsis is to accomplish the following: A. Synopsize this requirement in accordance with FAR Part 5. B. Combines the synopsis and Request for Quote in accordance with FAR Part 12.603 and FAR Part 5. C. This simplified acquisition will be issued as a Commercial Item in accordance with FAR Part 12. D. To identify the following commercial clauses incorporated by reference: FAR 52.212-1, 52.212-2 (modified by the CO), 52.212-3, 52.212-4, and 52.212-5. To access clauses visit www.arnet.gov E. To identify the quotation response needs to be within the Standard Catalogue Price List. F. Identify the Government's intent to make a sole source award to Crowne Plaza Hotel, based on FAR Part 6.301. The Government intends to award the small purchase acquisition for: a. 80 sleeping rooms for 3 nights to be located in Seattle, WA from 4/21/03-4/25/03, b. 1 conference room for approximately 120 people on 4/23/03 and 3 conference rooms for approximately 40 individuals on April 22, 24 & 25, 2003 and c. Equipment required per day include 2 flip charts, 2 LCD projectors and 2 overhead projectors. The government will apply the evaluation scheme identified in clause 52.212.2, based on lowest price/technically acceptable (pass/fail) in accordance with the following evaluation factors: technical approach, price, and past performance weight equally. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the above format If there are any offerors interested in the above acquisition, please contact the CO/CS at donawa.holly@epa.gov for the complete Statement of Work by 12:00 pm EST 3/13/03.
