- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation document, incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through FAC 97-20. The solicitation number is for F34601-03-Q-50080. The solicitation is a request for quotation (RFQ). Closing date for quotations will be received at the issuing office until 3:00 PM on 07 Apr 03. Source(s) is/are (Cage 63005) Rolls Royce Corp, Indianapolis IN 46241. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 336412. This is a requirement for Line Item 0001; NSN: 2840-00-021-8170OJ. Noun: Fourth stage turbine vane. Form/Fit/Function: Consists of 4 stages of turbine wheels supported on each end by roller bearings. There is a face type spline (curvic spline) between the wheels that serves to position the wheels and transfer torque from one wheel to the other. The wheels are stacked and held together by eight through bolts. Between adjacent turbine wheels is a turbine spacer. These spacers are held in close proximity to the inner rings of the turbine vane assy which forms an air seal: the purpose of the 4th stage turbine vanes is to use this air seal arrangement to increase turbine efficiency by minimizing air leakage between the vane assy and the turbine rotor. Size/Dimension(s): 10” X 12” X 15” applicable to T56-A-15 engine. Predominate Material: Steel. Qty: 23 ea; P/N: 6846995; government and commercial surplus is acceptable. Items must be new/unused and manufactured by Rolls Royce. Certification of manufacturer is required. Assets must be in their original packaging and meet all required inspection and testing criteria outlined in the 2J-T5-53. Place of delivery and acceptance is: Tinker AFB OK (FB2039). Required delivery schedules are as follows: 23 ea for Dec 2003. Qualification Requirements: Sources must be qualified prior to being considered for award.
