Description
NA Modification to previous request: Open to ALL contractors, large or small business, who have a GSA MOBIS contract. Information Technology (IT) Applications for the period of 1 April 2003 through 31 March 2004 to establish reliable communications at Military Traffic Management (MTMC) ports. The Contractor shall provide support as follows: 1) MTMC automatic identifica tion technologhy (AIT) to include draft revision of MTMC AIT integration plan, revised life-cycle cost estimate of MTMC's AIT program. 2) Analysis and refinement of AIT methodology for Combatant Commander AOR support requirments to include papers and min utes pertaining to AIT support in Combatant Command AORs. 3) Procedures for employing Deployable and Mobile Port Operation Centers to include revised procedures for employing deployable port operations centers, concept for communication and computer conf iguration management, concept for follow-on DPOC and MPOC capability. 4) Program management support for MTMC XML planning and implementation to include enhancements to the Ocean XML Prototype System, as required, MTMC XML Repository/DoD Registry Concept of Operations, XML coordinating committee meeting agendas, minutes, and support tools, as required. 5) Ammunition shipment visibility and information technology at ammunition ports to include support plan to improve cargo in-transit visibility and port i nventory management procedures at MOTSU (Sunny Point, NC, concept for implementing AIT and similar technology options at MOTCO (Concord, CA) (as required). 6) MTMC as DoD's surface distribution manager to include assessing and developing detailed procedu res supporting MTMC's DoD surface distribution manager missions. 7) Monthly progress resports. Place of Performance: Contractor's facility. All deliverables shall be submitted in person to the MTMC POC's at MTMC HQ, Alexandria, VA. Local travel betwee n Contractor's site and MTMC locations within the National Capital Region shall be required. In addition, long distance travel to CONUS and OCONUS locations may be required for data gathering and attendance at meetings. Responses from interested parties are to be received no later than 12 noon, local time, on 10 March 2003.
