- IMPORTANT NOTICE: DFARS 252.204-7004 "Required Central Contractor Registration" applies to all solicitations issued on / or after 06-01-98. Lack of registration in the CCR database will make an offeror / quoter INELIGIBLE FOR AWARD. Required Central Contractor Registration is mandatory for all contractors in order to receive award of a contract or order. Please ensure compliance with this regulation when submitting your quote. In accordance with FAR Part 12 and Part 15, the Contracts Department of the Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, San Diego, intends to procure a commercial IDTC contract for meals for the Naval Reserve Units located in the Southwest Region. The Southwest region includes the following cities: Phoenix AZ, Sacramento CA, Alameda CA, Tracy CA, Reno NV, Riverside CA, Fre sno CA, and San Diego CA. Specific quantities, locations, specifications and delivery parameters will be provided in the solicitation. Solicitation number / RFQ N00244-03-R-0031 applies. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-12 and DFAR Change Notices effective through 02/14/03. The standard industrial code is 5812 (NAICS 722320 & 722211), and the business size standard is $6 million. This procurement is a small business set-aside; all responsible sources may submit an offer. Multiple contracts may be awarded. The contract will be a firm fixed price indefinite delivery type contract for a Base Year with four, 1-Year Option Periods. Anticipated award date is 14 April 2003. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be posted by 20 March 2003 on the Navy Electronic Commerce Online ( NECO) web link: http://www.neco.navy.mil. Note: The full text of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) can be accessed on the Internet at www.arnet.gov.far or www.deskbook.osd.mil; Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) can be accessed on the Internet at www.dtic.mil/dfars. Parties responding to this solicitation may submit their quote in accordance with their standard commercial practices (e.g. on company letterhead, formal quote form, etc.) but must include the following information: 1) Company's complete mailing and remittance addresses, discounts for prompt payment, if any (e.g. 1% 10 days), anticipated delivery / availability of product / s, the company's CAGE code, Dun & Bradstreet Number, and Taxpayer ID number. All FAR certifications and representations specified above must also accompany your quote. The closing date for receipt of offers is 2 April 2003, 12:00 PM. It is the responsibility of the interested parties to independently review the referenced web links frequently for updates to any and all documents. The solicitation will be issued with the anticipation of obtaining current pricing information for all CLINs listed. All prospective offerors are cautioned that in the event the Government is unable to determine price reasonableness based on the offers received and market analysis, the Government will not issue a contract. This decision is solely the decision and right of the Government. All efforts performed and all cost expended by prospective offerors in providing information requested by the solicitation are not subject to reimbursement by the Government. Potential offerors will be responsible for downloading their own copy of the solicitation and amendments (if any). The Government does not antici pate paper copies of these documents to be issued.
