- MARKET RESEARCH. NO SOLICITATION DOCUMENT EXISTS. This request is for information only and should not be construed as a commitment by the Government to procure any items or services, nor for the Government to pay for the information received. The Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) is seeking information on industry capability for coating hafnium and tantalum powder with a thin coating of aluminum. The hafnium and tantalum powders size of interest is 5 to 50 micron diameter. The aluminum coating thickness of interest is from a few angstroms to one micron. Quantities of several pounds are of interest. Respondents to this request should sight past efforts, whether their process is operational or in development, and a rough order of magnitude of cost to procure several pounds of coated power. Firms capable of providing this technology are invited to respond to this notice. Company literature, brochures, or capability summaries should address the technology and the company's ability to provide it. Proprietary Information should be marked accordingly. Responses are requested by 1 April 2003. Company literature should also include a Point of Contract and business size.
