Description
NA A market research of industry to identify sources that are capable of manufacturing M7 Non-Electric Blasting Cap. The M7 nonelectric blasting cap is used for initiating high explosives. The use of nonelectric blasting caps in priming demolition charges f or placement underwater or in wet locations requires waterproofing. The technical description of the item is identified as: M7 Non-Elec Blasting Cap, NSN 1375013151335, DODAC 1375-M131. This information can be requested from Contract Specialist, Janet Batson email batsonj@osc.army.mil, (309)782-5452, A respondent to this market survey should be able to show that they have adequate technical and manufacturing capacity and good past performance in the explosives processing industry, as an indicator of you r qualifications. A respondent to this market survey must have available a majority of the skills and facilities that are required to manufacture the M7 Blasting Cap. If a respondent does not have adequate resources (technical, manufacturing, personnel, etc) available, the respondent must be able to demonstrate his ability to obtain those resources in a timly fashion. Interested companies who feel thy posess the necessary capabilities should respond by providing the Government the following information; A brief summary of the company's capabilities, description of facilities, personnel, and related manufacturing experience; estimated minimum and maximum monthly production quantities, the associated prices and the minimum rocurement quantity (MPQ) required for production. If a respondent chooses to utilize the services of sub-tier vendors or subcontractor, those vendors or subcontractors must also meet these criteria. Information shall be submitted within 15 calendar days from the date of this publication to: U.S. Army Joint Munition Command, Attn: Janet Batson, email batsonj@osc.army.mil or AMSOS-CCA-M, Rock Island, IL 61299-6000. This market survey is for planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a request for proposal or as an obligation on the part of the Government. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this market survey or otherwise pay for information solicited. The Government will utilize the information provided for Planning purposes only. All informati on submitted will be held in a confidential status.
