- Description
- This is a Request for Information (RFI). The information received will be used in assessing the availability of an air carrier to move seven passengers with a net airlift capability of 1600 pounds, via contractor furnished, IFR-equipped, multi-engine aircraft. The contractor shall transport passengers between Elmendorf AFB AK and various points on main land Alaska that will vary from 194 to 771 one-way miles. There will be two aircraft required. One is a twin-engine turbine powered aircraft capable of a minimum true cruise airspeed of 225 knots and with the capability to operate to and from gravel airfields. The second aircraft will be twin-engine turbine powered capable of a minimum true cruise airspeed of 290 knots and will land on hard surface runways of 5,000 feet. Please provide the following information, for each type of aircraft, and any other information you think might be helpful in the acquisition of this air transportation: a) Type of aircraft with capabilities (speed, range, etc.) b) ACL c) Estimated price (or price range) per mile d) Are you a DOD approved carrier? e) Large or small business? f) Response time needed for a mission. This agency has not made a final commitment to procure the stated requirement and this RFI should not be construed as a commitment or authorization to incur costs in anticipation of such procurement. This agency is interested in obtaining responses to this RFI from prospective contractors but no contractor shall be reimbursed for providing this information; therefore, the Air Force will accept the requested information in whatever format it is provided. All information provided by the contractor will become property of the Air Force and will not be returned. Responses are requested by 17 Mar 03 and should include a point of contact, phone number, fax number, and e-mail address. The applicable North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) is 481211. Anticipated period of performance is 1 Oct 03 through 30 Sep 04 with four 12-month option periods.
