- Description
- The Federal Bureau of Prisons is soliciting a contractor to provide Dental Assistant services to the inmate population located at the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI), Federal Satellite Low (FSL), and Federal Prison Camp(FPC), Jesup, Georgia. All basic supplies shall be provided by FCI/FSL/FPC Jesup. The services shall be performed Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., excluding federal holidays. The anticipated base period of performance is from date of award through September 30, 2003, with two (2) one-year option periods. This solicitation is set-aside 100% small business. This is not a personnel appointment. This solicitation will be available on or after March 7, 2003. The solicitation will be distributed through General Services Administration Federal Business Opportunities web site http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The site provides downloading instructions. All future information about this acquisition, including solicitation documents will also be distributed through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure they have the most up to date information about this acquisition. The award of the contract does not constitute an employee/employer relationship. The contractor will not be supervised, but will be monitored to determine if services rendered are in compliance with the contract terms and conditions. The contractor will adhere to specific rules and regulations of the department and institutions. Any individual working within the confines of FCI/FSL/FPC Jesup must undergo a background investigation and drug test prior to being permitted inside the institutions. The government may award the contract without discussions, therefore, offerors are instructed to submit their best offer initially.
