- **MODIFICATION NOTICE: Solicitation will not be posted to the web. If you wish a package send a fax referencing sol.# to 559-294-4833. Response date has been changed to 4/3/2003 by 2:00 p.m.*** This contruction project involves the storm proofing of 21 native surfaced roads within the McNally fire area. The total road mileage involved is 24.9 miles. The work includes installation of metal end sections on existing culverts installation of riprap at culvert and other drainage feature outlets and other road rehabilitation and related drainage work. The contract is scheduled to be completed in 30 calendar days. All prospective bidders are encouraged to view the site on their own. Project area can be reached: From Kernville, CA travel north on county roads 521/99 aproxl. 20 miles to Forest Service Rd (FSR) 22S05 (Sherman Pass). Proceed uphill for six miles to the Cherry Hill Rd (22S12) rd on the right. Work begins on this road at MP 8.52. Two roads off of 22S12 require work. Four roads which intersect with 22S05 on top require work; the remaining roads are mostly north of Black Rock Station - 31 miles out the Sherman Pass Rd. Estimated start date: May 15, 2003. Estimated price range: Between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00.
