- THIS IS A MODIFICATION TO A PREVIOUSLY ISSUED SYNOPSIS. (1) This modification is issued to update the anticipated release date of the RFP. Currently, NAWCAD anticipates releasing the subject RFP in February 2003. (2) Please be advised: The point-of-contact for this effort is Mr. Greg Blew, Code 251447, Department of the Navy, Attention Contracts 2.5 Bldg 588 Ste 2, 47253 Whalen Road Unit 6, Patuxent River, MD 20670-1161, phone: 301-342-2107, email: blewgt@navair.navy.mil. Please do not continue to send any correspondence to Mr. Ben Hansford. -- END MODIFICATION DESCRIPTION. SEE ORIGINAL SYNOPSIS POSTING FOR COMPLETE DESCRIPTION OF REQUIREMENT. SEE BELOW FOR INSTRUCTIONS ON SUBMITTING EMAIL OF INTEREST FOR THIS REQUIREMENT. -- The Navy intends to release the solicitation, including any subsequent amendments, via the Internet. The solicitation will be available on the NAVAIR home page located on the World Wide Web (WWW). The WWW address, or URL, for the NAVAIR homepage is: www.navair.navy.mil. To access the solicitation, select "Business" and then select "Doing Business With Us." Under "Doing Business With the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR)," select "Open Solicitations." In addition to the availability of the solicitation for downloading at this internet site, the Navy will also e-mail notification of release of the solicitation and any subsequent amendments to all prospective offerors who submit a request. To submit an electronic request for notification, send an e-mail to blewgt@navair.navy.mil. The e-mail shall include the following information: 1. Company Name; 2. Company Address; 3. E-Mail Address; 4. Point of Contact, phone number and fax number; and 5. Business Size in reference to NAICS 541710. This information will also allow the Government to compile a Bidder's List. The release of the solicitation is anticipated for June 2002, but this date may be subject to change. Internet responses without the aforementioned information will not be recognized. IN THE INTEREST OF ACQUISITION STREAMLINING, PROSPECTIVE OFFERORS ARE STRONGLY ENCOURAGED TO USE THE INTERNET TO SUBMIT REQUESTS RELATIVE TO THE SOLICITATION. TELEPHONE REQUESTS FOR INFORMATION RELATIVE TO THE SOLICITATION WILL NEITHER BE ACCEPTED NOR RETURNED.
