- Description
- The Genral Servies Administration will seek proposals from interested construction firms for Repairs and Renovation of the Historic James Walsh Courthouse in Tucson, AZ. Built in 1929, the building is a 4 story structure of approximately 75,000 SF. Once completed the building will house the US Bankrupcy Courts as well as the Bankruptcy Trustee and US Marshals Service. The project involves tenant improvements, electrical, plumbing and mechanical upgrades, security enhancements and fire/life safety upgrades. The project estimate is between $5,000,000 to $7,000,000. The pereformance period is 330 days from reciept of NTP. The building is currently vacant. Hazmat removal and Interior Demolition has been completed. Bid packages will be available in late March. A site visit will occur in early April. Proposals will be due in mid April and contract award by May 1. The building needs to be complete by April 2004. The acquisiston will be conducted using Source Selection Procedures. The technical factor will be past performance. Price and Technical are of equal weight.
