- This synopsis is issued for informational and planning purposes only. The AMC Contracting Flight is conducting market research to identify potential sources to conduct Initial Academic and Simulator Training and Refresher Academic and Simulator Training for pilots and flight engineers of the C-37 (GV) aircraft. In addition the following courses shall be instructed: Maintenance Initial, Maintenance Update, and Engine Run and Taxi courses, Automated Cockpit Course, Enhanced Vision System (EVS) training, and Crew Emergency Training course. Initial training shall be to the standard that the pilots may receive an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Rating/Type Certification (as applicable). As part of the initial training, all pilots meeting the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) prerequisites shall be offered the opportunity to receive an ATP/Type Certification (as applicable). The individual student is responsible for FAA prerequisites. If the ATP option is not utilized, simulator time scheduled for FAA evaluation shall be devoted to proficiency maneuvers. The training class will normally consist of 2 pilots and 1 (2 allowed) flight engineer per class. The Government is soliciting information to determine the availability of capable contractors that can provide the above services. A Draft Performance Requirements Document (PRD) that further describes the services required is provided herein for industry review and comment. The anticipated period of performance will be one year with four one-year option periods. Request contractors interested and capable of performing this service submit the following information by e-mail: 1) Contract references relevant to the requirement, detailing the contractors ability to provide services or similar services referenced above; 2) Name and address of company, company point of contact, current telephone number, fax number and E-mail address's, business size, and identify if disadvantaged, HUBZone, women owned, or 8(a) including the North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS); 3) Contract Number; 4) agency supported; 5) Whether or not you were a prime or a subcontractor; 6) Period of performance, original contract value, final or current contract value and type (fixed priced, cost-reimbursable, etc.); 7) Technical monitor and phone/fax number; 8) POC with current phone/fax number; 9) A brief description of the effort. E-mail capability statements will be accepted. The capability package must be clear, concise, and complete. The capability package and industry comments should be submitted to below no later than 20 Mar 03. Please limit the capability package to 10 pages.
