- Description
- Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, supervision and disposal necessary to Rebuild Connecticut River Front Range Light 67, located in the Connecticut River, near Haddam, CT. The work includes removal of approximately 7 cubic yards of concrete and 4 sections of steel piles. 4 new steel piles will be installed as well as a new steel platform, and the existing 25 foot tall steel pipe tower shall be modified. The estimated cost range of this project is $100,000 to $250,000. Solicitation packages will be available on or about 03/20/03. The date for receipt of proposals is 4/22/03 at 4:00 pm. The NAICS code is 237990. SPECIALIZED MARINE EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED TO PERFORM THIS WORK. Proposals shall be evaluated on the basis of price, past performance and technical qualifications. This solicitation is issued under the Small Business Demonstration Competitiveness Program and is unrestricted. Our office no longer issues solicitations or amendments in paper form. THE FOLLOWING NOTICE IS PROVIDED AS INFORMATION FOR MINORITY, WOMEN-OWNED, AND DISADVANTAGED BUSINESS ENTERPRISES: The Dept of Transportation (DOT) Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU) has programs to assist minority, women-owned and disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short-term working capital and bonding assistance for transportation-related contracts. This is applicable to any eligible prime or subcontract at any tier. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, payment and performance bonds up to $1.0 million per contract. The DOT provides an 80% guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against losses. Loans are available under the DOT Short-term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The max. line of credit is $500,000.
