- NASA/LaRC plans to issue a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for the following data aquisition components: VXI Module: Multi-Function DAC. Prod. # E1422A(qty 1), ICP/Voltage input breakout box. Prod. # E3241A (4), Voltage input breakout bos. Prod. # E3240A (4), Remote Channel signal conditioner plugin card Prod. #E1539A(1), 16 Port RJ-45 Connector Block. Prod. # E1422A-001 (1), Cable assy connect E1529B to E1432A. Part #E1529-61603 (4), Rack Mount kit for 8 E3240/41A. Prod. #35655-00201 (2), VXI Module: 32ch remote strain conditioning and voltage unit Prod. # E1529B (2), Rack Slide Kit for E8403A. Part # 1494-0411 (1),and Standard adapter lot for E8403A. Part # E8400-80923 (1). This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). NASA/LaRC intends to purchase the items from Agilent Technologies as the only known source which can fulfill NASA LaRC requirements. The required components must be compatible with the following NASA LaRC owned components: cards shall be C-size VXI based. Strain signal conditioners and controller shall be compatible with Agilent E1423A modules. Breakout boxes shall be compatible with Agilent E1432A. The components shall be compatible with existing software controlling the data acquisition system (MTS, IDEAS). The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. local time on March 14, 2003. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. An Ombudsman has been appointed.
