- Pre-Invitation Notice for Installing Backflow Preventers for Federal Buildings/Post Offices throughout the State of Iowa within the Iowa Field Office. Job PCN RIA23910. Invitation For Bid o/a 03/24/2003. Estimated Cost Range: $100,000 to $250,000. Time for completion: 200 calendar days after receipt of notice to proceed. No document charge or deposit required. The project consists of providing all plant, labor, material and disposal required to install backflow preventers, install expansion tanks, remove and relocate existing equipment, install sump pump, modify piping as required, install new piping, all as shown and as specified for 10 separate federal buildings located within the State of Iowa. Locations are as shown and listed on the drawings. This work includes, but is not limited to selective demolition; painting; installing sprinkler, potable water, soil and waste piping; associated electrical and mechanical work. All responsible sources may submit a bid, which will be considered by the agency. There is a 10% price evaluation factor for Hub Zone Small Business and a 10% Price Evaluation Adjustment for Small Disadvantaged Business Concerns.
