- This notice supersedes the original notice posted to the Fed Biz Ops under solicitation number N00019-03-R-0013 on 12 Nov 2002. The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to enter into sole source negotiations and subsequently award a Firm Fixed Price contract using Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) part 12 provisions to Smiths Aerospace Gloucester, LTD for the procurement of Dowty R-391 Propeller system parts. (THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS). Unless otherwise stated herein, no additional written information is available. Request for the same will be disregarded. A determination by the Government not to compete this effort is solely within the discretion of the Government. General Information: Smiths Aerospace Gloucester, LTD doing business as Dowty Propellers is the sole designer, developer and manufacturer of the R-391 Propeller and is the only known firm with the necessary knowledge, technical data, equipment, facilities, and experience with the subject propeller system to provide the required supplies within the required timeframe. Additional Information: The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 336413 and the small business size standard is 1000 employees. There is no commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation, make an award or awards, or to be responsible for any monies expended by any interested parties in support of the effort mentioned above. Information provided herein is subject to change and in no way binds the Government to solicit for or award a contract.
