Description

THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS ONLY. INTEREST, CAPABILITY TO PROPOSE AND INDUSTRY CO MMENTS ARE INVITED. A SOLICITATION WILL BE ISSUED AT A LATER DATE. The US Army Corps of Engineers, Alaska District intends to issue a full and open solicitation for the Construction of 100 Junior noncommissioned officer (NCO) units on the South Post area o f Ft Wainwright for FY04 with an option for an additional 100 units in FY05. This new construction will provide 4-bedroom units of noncommissioned officer family housing in variously configured multi-family structures with attached garages. The exterior el evations of the proposed facilities will incorporate, to the greatest extent possible, the architectural elements and themes adopted by the Ft Wainwright Housing Community Plan. The project will provide all equipment and appliances for functional living un its. Supporting facility work includes construction of utility tunnels, providing the required electrical, water, sewage and steam distribution and steam condensation return systems; constructing access streets, driveways, sidewalks and privacy fencing at the rear of each unit, a neighborhood tot lot and play area, revegetating and landscaping the neighborhood open spaces, and landscaping the neighborhood streetscapes. At least five percent of the quarters will be constructed such that they are accessible o r easily modifiable to accommodate requirements of the handicapped. The magnitude of this project is $25 to $100 Million. Industry comments are welcome.
