- Description
- The VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System, University Drive, Pittsburgh, PA= =20 15240 has a requirement to =93Renovate 8 West for Hemonc.=94 Contractor shall provide all labor and material to renovate approximately 12,000 SF including asbestos abatement. Project will be phased to limit disruption to the remainder of 8Center/8East (waiting room expansion portion). First phase will be to relocate the oxygen storage tanks including exhaust. The work includes but is not limited to new lights, ceilings, HVAC, data/communication, floors, doors, handrails, bumper rails, etc. according to the drawings and specifications. This project will provide new space for hematology, additional waiting and exam rooms. 8 West will be vacated but 8Center/8East will be occupied.=20 Contractor must follow infection control guidelines for healthcare facilities (i.e. dust control). Project completion time will be 180 calendar days. The applicable NAICS code is 233320 with the small business size standard of $28.5M. Solicitation is unrestricted and open to both large and small businesses. The construction cost range for this project is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. A Pre-Bid Conference is scheduled for Thursday, April 10, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. in Engineering Conference Room, Room #AN216, Ground Floor, VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System, University Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15240. While not mandatory, all bidders are strongly encouraged to attend. Bid opening will be Thursday, April 24, 2003 at 3:00 p.m. in A&MM Conference Room 373E, Third Floor, Bldg. 4 at the VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System, 7180 Highland Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15206. All qualified responsive/responsible bidders may submit a bid which shall be considered by the agency if received timely. Contract is subject to availability of funds. Solicitation will be available on/about Tuesday, March 25, 2003 to interested parties through electronic data interchange at the following URL=92s: http://www.bos.oamm.va.gov/ or http://www.fedbizopps.gov/ for downloading free of charge. Drawings are in AutoCAD 2000 format. It is highly recommended that you complete the solicitation mailing list on the web site before downloading the solicitation.
