- Description
- The GLAC (Great Lakes Acquisition Center) is soliciting quotations to provide services to the Information Technology Center (ITC), located at Building 215, First Avenue North of 22nd Street, Hines, IL 60141, for Presort Mail services, which includes, using permit mail, pickup, bar coding, presorting, record keeping and delivery to the U. S. Post Office of approximately 14,000,000 pieces of mail annually. All work shall be in strict compliance with the latest United States Postal Regulations. This service shall also include all management, supervision, labor, materials, equipment and transportation. Anticipated period of performance is May 1, 2003 through April 30, 2004, with the option to extend for four one-year periods. VISN 12 is anticipated establishing a Requirements Contract on a firm-fixed price basis. Anticipated award effective date is May 1,2003. Electronic version and hard copy of solicitation will be available on or about March 3, 2003. Contract award is subject to availability of funds. NAICS number is 561499 Mail Presorting Services. Requests for hard copy solicitation must be in writing to the GLAC Contact Point and accompanied by a check for $5.00 made out to the Department of Veterans Affairs. No telephone requests will be accepted. Any amendments issued to this solicitation will also be available at the URL address. Offerors are advised that they are responsible for obtaining amendments.
