Description
NA A market survey is being conducted to determine if there are adequate HubZone Certified Small Businesses for this project. The proposed contractor will Upgrade Aircraft Parking/Ramp, Johnstown, PA. The existing 782,530 SF Resin Modified Bituminous Surfac e Course Aircraft Parking Apron and Taxi Ramp shall be demolished and replaced to accommodate heavy aircraft utilization with heavy duty reinforced concrete. Raised Aviation Lighting and a new Oil/Water Separator shall also be installed. This project is planned for advertisement in early May 2003 with award scheduled by 30 June 2003. Contract duration is estimated at 540 calendar days. NAICS Code is 237310. The estimated price range is $10,000,000.00 to $25,000,000.00. 15-20% of the work is to be self -performed. All interested HubZone businesses should notify this office in writing by mail or by email to debrauh.m.lardner@lrl02.usace.army.mil by 13 March 2003 at 4:00 PM Louisville Local Time. Responses should include (1) Identification of your compan y as a Certified HubZone Small Business, (2) Past Experience-Describe completed construction projects that are similar in size and scope to the proposed project, the performace of self-performed work and how it was accomplished, (3) Capability of obtaining performance and payment bonds for a project in the dollar amount listed above, and (4) a statement verifying the contractor will self-perform at least 15-20% of the work and how it will be accomplished. NOTE: If qualified HubZone Small Businesses do not respond, this planned contract action may be converted to a full and open competition.
