- Description
- This is a Fixed Price Price contract for the items listed in the Unit Price Schedule. The work includes, but is not limited to: removal of thirty-two(32) emergency egress hatches and frames, and furnish and install new egress hatches at various locations throughout the MetroRail system. Estimated cost range: $500,000 - $1,000,000. Bid Guarantee, Insurance, and DBE: A bid guarantee, in the amount of 5% of the bid price, is required with the bid if it is greater than $100,000. The successful bidder must provide Performance and Payment Bonds after award of the contract in the specified amounts. An insurance certificate with Worker's Compensation (Statutory), Employer's Liability, Commercial General Liability, Automobile Liability coverages with WMATA included as an additional insured as stated, will also be required of the successful bidder. There is a 20% DBE goal required in this contract and WMATA Pre-certified DBE data (see Appendix B) must be submitted with the bid if the Total Base Bid Price is $500,000.00 or more.
