Description
This is a sources sought announcement to identify potential sources and gather information on current capabilities within the market. The Air Force Metrology Calibration Detachment is considering a purchase of Capacitance Standards Set. The anticipated quantity is three (3) each of Capacitance Standards Set. This is a capacitance standards set consisting of seven capacitance values of four terminal pairs ranging in value from 1 picofarad to 1 microfarad. These capacitance standards will be used as calibration standards for LCR meters and impedance analyzers. These are four terminal pair capacitors with BNC type connectors. The seven values of capacitance required are 1, 10, 100, & 1000 picofarads, and 0.01, 0.1, & 1 microfarads. The nominal accuracy required in capacitance for these standards is 0.10%. The calibration accuracy required for all capacitors is 0.01% and the calibration stability is less than or equal to 50ppm/year. The dissipation factor required for the 1 picofarad through 1000 picofarad capacitors shall be less than or equal to 0.0001. The dissipation factor the 0.01, 0.1, & 1 microfarad capacitors shall be less than or equal to 0.004, 0.005, & 0.007 respectively. A transport/carrying case will be provided for these capacitor standards. A calibration report and certificate will be provided showing calibrated value at 1kHz, dissipation, and traceability to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), or other National Measurement Institute (NMI). Offerors responding to this sources sought market research must (1) state whether they are a small or large business. (2) indicate if they are a small disadvantaged or woman-owned business, 8(a) firm, or a historically black college or university or minority institution (HBCU/MI), or a historically underutilized business zone (HUBZone) small business; (3) provide information concerning the technical capabilities of the product you are interested in offering, including commercial literature/brochures. (4) any other pertinent information which would enable the government to assess your firm?s capabilities. (5) Provide Point of contact and assigned Commercial and Government Entity (CAGE) Code. This synopsis is for planning purposes only and is NOT to be construed as a commitment by the Government nor will the Government pay for information solicited hereunder. At this time, no solicitation exists. Submit all responses to this notice to the point of contact listed below. All responses/questions should be submitted to Glenna Pound Contracting officer via e-mail at Glenna.Pound@afmetcal.af.mil or by Fax at 740-788-5157 or mail to 813 Irving-wick Dr W Heath Oh 43056-6116 if e-mail is not possible. Responses are due by 15 Mar 03.
