- NA SOURCES SOUGHT/MARKET SURVEY NOTICE: The U.S. Army Intelligence and Security Command, Fort Belvoir, VA is seeking industry sources for the procurement of translator and interpreter services. The objective of this effort is to provide contract linguist sup port to U.S. Army operations. The U.S.Army, deployed in support of military operations and the Global War on Terror (GWOT), requires translator/interpreter services in order to communicate with the local populace, gather information for Force Protection, and interact with other foreign military units. The scope of this contract involves worldwide contingency military operations, ranging from stability operations such as peacekeeping, noncombatant evacuation, counter-terrorist, or counter-narcotics operati ons to operations in major theaters of war (MTW). The scope also includes a requirement for skilled contract linguists of various foreign languages to provide linguistic support to COMINT, HUMINT/CI and IO missions. Linguist positions on this contract have various clearance requirements, from no clearance up to and including TOP SECRET/SCI. Candidate linguists without proper clearance will be subject to an accelerated government background investigation and adjudication, which will provide interim access. F or some requirements, the Contractor shall be responsible for providing linguists who possess a current final TOP SECRET/SCI. Many positions will require recruiting and hiring local and third country nationals in foreign countries. Capability statements may be e-mailed to Kathleen Moore at kmoor2@vulcan.belvoir.army.mil. Capability statements should be submitted by March 14,2003. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS. This is a source sought/market survey announcement to seek industry sources for this requirement.
