Description

This project includes the development of the new Marienville Ranger District Office Building site. The project will include the major items of: 1) Construction of a new approx. 12,000 sq. ft, two-story office building; Site work including clearing, grading, walkways, roads, parking lots, and site utilities on a 12-acre site; Demolition or reuse by contractor elsewhere of the existing office building, restore old roads, and parking lots. Bid Schedule has an Optional Bid Item which includes the construction of a new 5,000 sq. ft. warehouse/workshop. The project is located at the existing Marienville Ranger Station site, on the west side of PA Route 66, 1.75 miles north of the Village of Marienville, in Jenks Township, Forest County, Pennsylvania. The site is approximately 110 miles north of Pittsburgh and 90 miles southeast of Erie, PA. The desired date for starting work is June, 2003. Recommended contract time is 365 days. There will be a pre-bid meeting at the Marienville District site, approximately 10 days after the plan is made available to the public.
