Description
The Government is issuing this Request for Information (RFI) as part of a market survey for the requirement of stocking consumable material bins with repair parts for rework of obsolete Naval and USMC support equipment at various NAVAIR SE Rework Program sites. In addition to stocking the consumable material bins, the contractor will be responsible for evaluating existing processes and workflow requirements to determine material requirements and consumption rates and will be required to make recommendations for the addition/deletion of parts for the NAVAIR SE Rework Program. The contractor will be responsible for providing all storage/bins required at each site. The Rework Program encompasses, at a minimum, the following sites: Jacksonville, FL, Camp Lejeune, NC, Cherry Point, NC, Portsmouth, VA, Solomons, MD, Maple Glen, PA, Belle Chasse, LA, New Orleans, LA, Fort Worth, TX, Lak eside, CA. Site visits may be necessary and will be scheduled as needs arise. Vendors, please explain your company’s processes to accomplish the tasks, to include management of inventory, replenishment of depleting stocks, reduction of procurement costs while providing the highest level of quality and efficiency, and on-site delivery and maintenance. Identify your company’s process to determine when items are below the minimum required levels, and the automated purchase method to replenish the stock. Please explain your company’s process to price the service to the Government to provide the materials and labor. Additionally, please provide past performance information detailing same or similar efforts that your company has performed. Please provide this information by no later than 21MAR03 to Diane L.
