- Description
- The GLAC (Great Lakes Acquisition Center) is soliciting quotations to provide services to the Information Technology Center (ITC), located on the VA Medical Center Campus at Hines, IL, for the offsite storage of approximately 40,000 magnetic tapes per year including 2400 foot round 9 track tapes, 3480 type data cartridges and a small number of 8mm date cartridges. The contractor shall provide security storage, personnel, equipment and resources necessary to transport the media for the Hines ITC, Building 215, First Avenue North of 22nd Street, Hines, IL 60141. B Anticipated period of performance is April 1, 2003 through March 31, 2004, with the option to extend for four one-year periods. VISN 12 is anticipated establishing a Requirements Contract on a firm-fixed price basis. Anticipated award effective date is April 1,2003. Electronic version and hard copy of solicitation will be available on or about March 28, 2003. Contract award is subject to availability of funds. Requests for hard copy solicitation must be in writing to the GLAC Contact Point and accompanied by a check for $5.00 made out to the Department of Veterans Affairs.
