Description

The Bureau of Reclamation, Hoover Dam, has a requirement for the design and installation of one new flood door operator on the Arizona side of Hoover Dam and two new flood door operators on the Nevada side of Hoover Dam in accordance with the Statement of Work and all clauses. The doors are designed to close from water pressure in the event that any open water flow occurs in the penstock tunnel. These doors are heavy "submarine type" doors built of structural steel plate and beams. The automated mechanisms for opening the doors have become inoperable. This job is to restore the original function of the automated flood door systems. This is a total small business set-aside. The NAICS is 332999. The size standard is 500 employees or less over the past twelve months. Simplified Acquisition Procedures will apply. Anticipated award date is March 26, 2003.
