- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, (NAWCAD), Lakehurst, NJ intends to enter into sole source negotiations with Palomar Products, Inc., Rancho Santa Margarita, CA, to procure the following: Communication Control Units (CCU) P/N 1161100-100, quantity 2; Crew Station Units (CSU) P/N 1161200-101, quantity of 2; Crew Display Units (CDU) 1161220-110, quantity of 5; Crew Station Units (CSU) Front Panel P/N 4950754-1, quantity of 5. These components are required in support of the P-3 program. These components are part of the AN/AIC-34 Intercommunication System (ICS). As the designer, developer, and original equipment manufacturer of the AN/AIC-34 System, Palomar Products is the only known source capable of producing these systems. The Government does not own the data, drawings, or technical specifications necessary to produce these systems/components or to conduct a full and open procurement. All responsible sources are encourage to submit a proposal, which may or may not be used by the Government in determining whether or not to open this requirement to competition. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to open this requirement to competition based on the responses received to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. (See Note 22). NOTE: THIS NOTICE WAS NOT POSTED TO FEDBIZOPPS.GOV ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (16-MAY-2002). IT ACTUALLY FIRST APPEARED ON THE FEDBIZOPPS SYSTEM ON 27-FEB-2003.
