Description
Furnish all labor, materials and equipment necessary to, unless otherwise noted, to accomplish the specified improvements to two (2) elevators located in building 235, Cain Hall, at the U.S. Coast Guard Training Center Yorktown, Virginia. This operation must be carried out in conformance with the specifications, applicable drawings, clauses, terms, and conditions of the contract, and completed with 90 calendar days from the issuance of Notice of Award, unless otherwise noted. The work includes upgrading two elevators to ADA standard, replacing the car operating panel, car direction and position indicator, car door operator, door protective and reopening device, car communication system, hall push buttons, traveling cable, installing landing position and direction indicators and incidental related work. Provide all cutting, patching and refinishing required for the installation of new equipment. The contractor shall work on one elevator at a time leaving the other operational. The contractor is responsible for the cleanup of dirt and debris, incidental to the contract work on a daily basis. The existing elevators are passenger type, manufactured by Montgomery Elevator Company in 1987. The contractor is responsible for that all of the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required is provided to their employees. Contractors must review section 01330 of contract specifications and submit required documents prior to start of work. The estimated cost of this procurement is less than $100,000.00 and is automatically reserved for small business concerns. The applicable NAICS code is 235950. Small Business size standard is $11.5 million. Anticipated solicitation issue date is 22 June 2001, with due date for receipt of quotes on 06 July 2001.
