Description
The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, Puget Sound has a requirement for Commander Navy Region Northwest, Port Operations to provide for the rental of Chain-Link Fencing and Cement Jersey Barriers. Contractor will be required to deliver, set-up and tear down Chain-Link Fencing and Cement Jersey Barriers at special events at non-navy ports to include Seattle, Astoria, Bellingham, Longview, and Portland. Chain Link Fences must be a minimum of 7 feet high with each potential site requiring a minimum of 2000 feet of fencing, configured with 2 gates (swing or wheel) for pedestrian and vehicle traffic per year. Cement Jersey Barriers must be a minimum of 2.5 feet high with each potential site requiring a minimum of 2000 feet. The procedures of FAR PART 12, Commercial Acquisition will be utilized. This is a 100% small business set-aside. The Government foresees a firm fixed price, Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) type contract with a base year and two option years. Award will be by LOT. When issued, the RFQ will be posted on the Navy Electronic Commerce Online (NECO) web link, www.neco.navy.mil. It is anticipated that the RFQ, will be issued on or about 5 March 2003, with offers due on or about 19 March 2003. All offerors wishing to submit an offer, are responsible for downloading their own copy of the RFQ from this website (WinZIP or other unzipping software is required) and to frequently monitor that site for any amendments to the RFQ. Interested parties may utilize www.fedbizopps.gov and request an E-mail notification by clicking on the "FedBizOpps Vendor" tab then "Acquisition Notification service" then "register to receive notification by solicitation number." By registering with this service, you should receive notification as to when the solicitation has been uploaded to the NECO website. PLEASE NOTE: FISC PUGET SOUND DOES NOT GUARANTEE THIS NOTICE. OFFERORS ARE STILL RESPONSIBLE FOR DOWNLOADING THEIR OWN COPY OF THE SOLICITATION ON THE NECO WEBSITE. No telephone or fax requests for the RFQ package will be accepted. An email request to brian_r_begley@puget.fisc.navy.mil will be accepted only in the event an offeror experiences problems downloading the RFQ from the NECO website. No bidders list will be maintained by this office. No paper copies of the RFQ and/or amendments will be mailed. Failure to respond to electronically posted solicitations or quotes and associated amendments prior to the date and time set for receipt of proposals or quotes may render your proposal or quote nonresponsive and result in the rejection of same.
