Description
PHD, Naval Surface Warfare Center intends to issue a Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) on a sole source basis pursuant to FAR Clause 6.302-1, ?Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements? to United Defense Armament Systems Division, (UD/ASD), 4800 E. River Road, Minneapolis, MN. The proposed BOA shall include the procurement of material and services for the Guided Missile Launching Systems (GMLS) MK 10, 13, 22 and 26, GMLS/MSL Simulator MK 72, Digital Data Distribution Set AN/USC-40(v), GMLS Training Equipment and GMLS ancillary equipments of the United States Navy and United States allied navies under Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Case, in support of in-service engineering requirements. Material and services include: (i) equipment changes, (ii) depot repair, (iii) spare & repair parts and (iv) storage of the above. UD/ASD is the original designer, developer and sole producer of the systems listed above and has custody of the full size GMLS MK 13 and 26 Land Based Test Units (LBTU) for design and test purposes. UD/ASD is the only firm possessing the in-depth technical knowledge, experience and capabilities required to manufacture, alter and repair these systems or their components and the only company that has access to the required facilities, special tooling, test equipment, computer program maintenance equipment as established for program support by NAVSEA. The proposed BOA is a follow-on to PHD NSWC BOA N63394-00-G-1114 and will have an ordering period of 1 May 2003 through 31 April 2006. PHD NSWC intends to issue individual orders under this BOA which will have an ordering limit of $9.9M. The applicable North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) Code for this requirement is 541330 a nd the Federal Supply Classification (FSC) J014. Notes 12, 22 and 26 are applicable to this requirement. NOTE: THERE IS NO SOLICITATION FOR THE PROPOSED BASIC ORDERING AGREEMENT AND THEREFORE WILL NOT BE POSTED. *This synopsis satisfies the requirement for all orders issued under this Basic Ordering Agreement.
