- . The U.S. Geological Survey, Branch of Facilities Management, Reston, Virginia has a requirement for construction services to be performed at the USGS Northern Prairie Research Center located approximately 3 miles southeast of Jamestown, North Dakota. The services shall be performed at three (3) separate locations at or near the Research Center. The project consists of the installation of a new fire alarm system, new exit lighting and emergency lighting. The contractor shall also modify the electrical distribution system in accordance with drawings and specifications which will be contained in the solicitation. The SIC Code for this project is 1731 and the corresponding NAICS code is 235310. The magnitude of the construction is between $100,000 and $140,000. This is an unrestricted acquisition. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which will be considered by the agency. A site visit is planned to take place within 10 days of the release of the request for proposal. All construction work will be performed as detailed in the construction specifications and drawings. These documents can be obtained by submitting a check in the amount of $50.00 made payable to the DOI/U.S. Geological Survey. These documents will not be available in electronic form and must be picked up by the requesting party or mailed. They will also be available at the site visit. Payment should be submitted as soon as possible after the solicitation is made available on the electronic website of FedBizOpps at http://www.fedbizopps.gov .
