- NSN: 1620-01-272-6394MW; P/N: 413-10333-501; NOUN: PIN, TRUNNION; APPROVED SOURCES FOR THIS SYNOPSIS ARE: 1)BOEING-CAGE CODE 82918. DESCRIPTION: MACHINED ALUMINUM ALLOY 6.3 INCHES LONG BY 2.5 INCHES WIDE WITH ATTACHED 12 INCH BY 2.5 INCH DIA. ?L? SHAPED ALUMINUM DUCT. Manufacturing data is available, but unique processes employed in using this data requires prequalification of alternate sources to maintain the reliability of this critical part. This part has significant load bearing requirements and is used to support a loaded launcher of nuclear missiles weighing approximately 3 tons. Poor quality would cause a premature failure and could lead to loss of life and equipment. Boeing Defense & Space Group (Cage: 82918) is the only known source which is qualified to manufacture this item. Note 26; Based upon market research, the Government is not using the policies contained in Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in its solicitation for the described supplies or services. However, interested persons may identify to the contracting officer their interest and capability to satisfy the Government's requirement with a commercial item within 15 days of this notice. This statement applicable to LI 0001.
